Bill Eastwood – Director
Bill has over 35 years of experience at Senior Management Level having floated the family business in the 1970’s. Since then he has been personally involved in a number of transactions including take private, successful exits and acquisitions out of administration.
Bill has been involved in a variety of companies as management and investor including;
- J.B. Eastwood – MD of Agribusiness with £120m turnover sold in 1979 to Imperial Foods, a division of Imperial Tobacco.
- Eastwood Heating Developments Ltd – owner manager of new start heat pump manufacturer, sold to Reed Building Ltd in 1983.
- Tyzack plc – Executive Chairman and Investor, sold to MBO team in 1989.
- Eurovein plc & Focus Dynamics plc – Chairman and investor backed by 3i and Hambro to buy business units out of Tyzack plc. Floated in 1994.
- Eurofiltec Ltd – Chairman and 50% shareholder, design and manufacturer of liquid filtration consumables in France and UK. Sold in 2004.
- Samuel Eden & Son Ltd – Chairman and 30% shareholder of UK sock manufacturer specialising in licensed character socks.
Bill has an MA in Biochemistry from St. Catherine’s College Oxford and an MBA from INSEAD.
Tom Eastwood – Director
Tom gained a first degree in Business and Economics from Edinburgh University before spending 5 years as an investment manager at HSBC Investment Management. Tom joined Eastwood Anglo in 2004 and is responsible for compliance. Tom is currently Managing Director of a direct investment involved in the importing and wholesaling of equestrian products.
Henry Murch – Associate
With a degree in Agricultural Business Management from London University Henry previously worked in the Fresh Produce Industry supplying UK supermarkets. As an account manager for American Multinational Chiquita, Henry got his first taste for mergers and acquisitions when Chiquita acquired its UK partner.
Before joining Eastwood Anglo in 2006 Henry developed a small loan and asset finance broking activity. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and recently passed the ICAEW Diploma for Corporate Finance.
Robert C Spender – Associate and Private Investor
Robert is a qualified engineer and has over 30 yrs of senior management experience in leading Global, USA and European manufacturing and distribution businesses. Returning to the UK in 2001 after six years in the USA he ran his own industrial advisory business. In addition acted as lead executive on a number of bids for both private and public companies.
Since 2005 Robert has been involved firstly as an investor then appointed Chairman with Magnom Corporation, an early stage filtration and separation technology company with operations in both USA and UK. During his time with Magnom he has secured industrial investors in the second round of funding and utilized contacts within the industry to speed up growth via collaboration, association and strategic alliance with a view to maximizing shareholder value prior to exit
His management career started at George H Scholes Ltd (Wylex) an electrical distribution equipment manufacturer in 1976 rising to the position of Commercial Manager, since then he has held senior management positions in global manufacturing industries in a number of industrial sectors within Europe and the USA.
Notable positions include: Siemens Ltd (Divisional General Manger) 1981- 88. Memtec Ltd, 1991 to1998 An Australian based industrial filtration manufacturing and distribution company. European President and CEO. Set acquisition strategy, completed deals in France, Germany and Italy. Mannesmann Rexroth Corporation 1998-2001 based in Chicago. President and CEO. Responsible for all activities in the NAFTA region of eleven operating companies after integrating the individual businesses to form one unified North American operation. This provided an improved customer focus of an extensive portfolio of hydraulics and automation products and systems.
